Early Footprints Project: French Reading Activity at Morden Daycare

We are pleased to announce the success of our recent visit to Pembina Valley Childcare Centre as part of the Early Footprints project. This initiative promotes early literacy and a love for reading in French among young children. During the event, a Grade 5 French Immersion class visited a Pre-K class, where the older students read stories about starting Kindergarten and guided the younger children in reading French books. The project aims to foster a love for reading in French and emphasize its importance as a second language from an early age. The event concluded with ice cream sandwiches, and each Pre-K student received French Footprints handouts and a French book to take home. Encouraged by our success in Morden, we plan to visit more daycares and early learning centers to continue promoting French literacy. To host an event in your community, please contact kgreen@cpf.com.
