During the 2023-2024 school year, over 5,000 young linguists demonstrated their French language skills at their respective schools, each vying for the opportunity to represent their school at the Provincial Concours d’Art Oratoire. Hosted by Canadian Parents for French – Manitoba (CPF-MB), the final competition took place at the Université de Saint-Boniface on May 4th 2024, where the school champions from grades 3 to 12 converged to compete in a vibrant showcase that included French as a second language, impromptu speaking, French as a first language, and group presentations.

A Celebration of Skills and Community

This event not only celebrated the exceptional linguistic abilities of the students but also highlighted the community’s strong commitment to bilingual education. Supported by over 600 parents, the day was filled with energetic and articulate French speeches, showcasing the best of Manitoba’s young linguists.

Educational and Community Impact

The Concours d’art oratoire aligns with Manitoba’s educational curricula by fostering useful life skills and promoting French language proficiency among youth.
